Blackbeard seemed to be catching on to her queries. “Curiosity kills the cat, my dear Kaitlyn. I made some impromptu arrangements to cover up this fiasco. Nothing that this captain cannot handle.”
“Quite amazed I’m not dead yet though. Besides, you satiated my curiosity. Good to hear that you can handle it of all people.” she replied wistfully with a small smile.
