He shook his head, just going about the best he could. “It doesn’t hurt that much. Let’s just get ya home. Try to get a ride if we’re lucky.” He gripped her hand harder than he thought as he walked on his hurt ankle, trying to balance himself but ending up putting most of the weight.on her by accident. “See much?” he asked, glancing at Kaitlyn as he tried to spot any moving headlights or even parked cabs with their drivers lingering around.
Kaitlyn just stared at him with a brow raised. “You do realize that hailing a cab now might be quite difficult at this hour, don’t you?” she asked. “God, you’re heavier than the time I dragged to my home.” she added as she supported him, knowing that if he added more weight she’d fall and that’d be the last thing she wanted at the moment. “Hey, how’s your wounds? You seriously need help or you’re gonna get infected or something.”
