Of Gardens and Tea

as-madasahatter:

“I’d like to believe I am curious, but I find the most normal things curious and the oddest things not-so-curious. It is not that the not-so-curious are not curious as they are, but being surrounded by not-so-curious things allows the normal things to be more curious to such a curious person as myself.”

He glanced around trying to spot the creature he had spoken about. Hatter would have described the creature himself, but to show - to be given an example! - what the creature looked like was far better an explanation than talking. After a moment, he pointed to a Rocking Horse Fly that was floating a bit of a ways from her. “There is one. Do you see it?”

He realized that she had also deemed herself a curious person and, forgetting the fly momentarily, he looked over at her with renewed interest. “That is why you must have come to be here. The Rabbit Hole is only for the curious, you know.”

{ ♔ } - - - - -     “Well, you are already a curious person since you are curious about something even if it’s them normal things. Doesn’t matter what.“ she mused with a grin. "And yes, it seems that this place is full of curious things which I reckon you find as not-so-curious since, I presume, you’ve been here a long time.”

Following his direction, Kaitlyn soon spotted the said creature, making her smile in glee in wonder. “What a curious creature! I’ve never seen something like it before.” she said, “I bet that’s not the only creature that’s fascinating here.”

“Only for the curious? Well, that explains it.” she chuckled with a shrug leaving her shoulders. “At first, I thought ‘Why?’ but it all makes sense now, I guess. At least falling down the hole didn’t kill me. Say, where are we in Wonderland, if you don’t mind me asking?”
