Hatter only inclined his head. Having fallen through the Rabbit Hole numerous times whenever he decided to make a trip Topside, he knew that for those who experienced such a thing the first time around, it was always tricky to comprehend until your head returned to you. “No, no, the flowers are always like that. While some believe themselves to be higher, it is just in their nature, according to the type of flowers that they are known by. Their names give hints to their personality.”
He raised an eyebrow as he looked over at the castle, the tightening of his jaw giving the hint of what could only be expressed as anger. “No one lives there currently. It has been abandoned only a short while, but it remains both as a testament and reminder.” A rocking horse fly buzzed by his ear, alerting him to other enjoyable things to behold and become enraptured by.
“Ah, well, when it comes to our forest,” he began as he turned to face the forest, “there are a few things you should remember. To walk forward, you must walk back. Upon seeing the way his jaw tighten, the brunette interpreted it only as anger. What could have happened in the castle that made him angry? Or was it a who? Save the questions for later. “But who lived there? Was it someone who made living hard?” she then asked patiently.
Kaitlyn let out a sigh and a shrug left her shoulders upon hearing what he had to say about the forest. “Well, I guess I just have to try to walk down there some time to see for myself how that logic works, no matter how confusing it is.” she chuckled. “I’ve asked enough questions and thank you for answering them. But don’t you have questions to ask? Perhaps you’ve been … up there? And if you don’t mind, can we please move to somewhere else?”
