Valerie smiled, happy she had found another friend. What more, she was not from Daggerhorn so it was quite a change. But she was thankful altogether. “I don’t. Well, you become a werewolf too. Unless you don’t survive the bite. Bu you become stronger, I might say, then the one who bit you. There’s no cure. One more reason to be wary. ” she explained.
“I guess I am.” the blonde chuckled, walking at a slow pace. “Of course, I do not mind. You are my friend after all.” She then began to lead Kaitlyn away from their spot when a bone-chilling scream reached her ears. She turned, confused to see the village’s people running about with men gathering weapons. And that’s when she saw it, the werewolf; it was prowling about nearer and nearer each second until it began to pounce on several men before finishing them mercilessly.
Blood stained the white snow and the sight was horrifying. Then Valerie remembered she had someone with her. She could only manage one word as she backed away, not keeping her gaze away from the creature. “Run.” she whispered. But it was quite too late, the wolf had made it’s next target and it was them. Valerie pulled the brunette with her as she headed to the church.
{ ♔ } - - - - - “Can’t bear how bloody unlucky one would be if he or she was the one who got bitten. It’d be a living hell.“ she mused wistfully, kicking the snow with the sole of her foot. "So stay clear of the wolf, is that how everyone lives by here?” she chuckled.
A grateful smile crossed her face. “Ah, thanks. I thou-” she began yet her words were cut short when she heard the high-pitched scream of someone in fear. Whipping her head around just as Valerie did, a frightening sight greeted her eyes as a black creature crept closer towards several men with weapons, teeth bared as it gave a low growl. Kaitlyn winced at the men’s weapons- That’s nothing against it!

Her mouth fell open the moment the werewolf ripped the head off of one of the guards, blood gushing out and adding a chilling effect to her surroundings as it infected the white snow. Never had the young lady seen such gory violence from such a creature and the scene made her want to scream. Worse, her phobia began to kick in the moment her eyes saw headless bodies drop despite the ruckus of people running away in fear.
The brunette was immobilized by fear; she wanted to run yet her feet were rooted to the ground. That was until she felt someone- Valerie- pull her forward before she began to realize the her friend was leading her away to safety. Her mind began to function, and her legs began to carry her as fast as they could as her hand gripped Valerie’s for consolation.
