Nina suddenly stopped running when she noticed the change of scenery around her. Only a few seconds ago, she was still running away from an army trying to invade her kingdom, and now the woods had been replaced with tall grey buildings. She ended up on a road, the only thing she could recognize. Of course, the young girl knew she was in a city, but this wasn’t one she had seen before. Plus, she shouldn’t have been here. She remembered clearly the bullet entering her body, and the blood on her. The last thing she felt was life being drained out of her. She quickly ran to the pavement, after almost getting hit by a car. She’d seen those before, obviously, but only with horses. Those were making a lot more noise and black smoke escaped of them. In the process of avoiding it, she bumped into someone. She turned around, ready to complain to the other. That was definitely no way to treat a princess.

Kaitlyn just stood there, on the side of the street about to set off to some place, wherever her feet may take her. Somehow, she was waiting for some kind of sign that might tell her where she could or must go. But no, there was one so far and it disappointed her so she began to walk away. The girl’s thoughts were interrupted when she suddenly bumped into someone. My fault, my fault but where’d she come from? She had been absorbed in her own thoughts that she had not been looking where she was going. Kaitlyn looked at the girl she bumped into and it was clear on her face that she was appalled. Then she noticed something different about her; her clothes. Why was she wearing those kind of clothes? The brunette refrained herself from staring as she cleared her throat. “Um, please forgive me. I was not looking where I was going.”
