“Let us just say that whoever lived there is long gone and should not be a bother if Absolem graces us that mercy,” Hatter replied with a note of finality in his voice. The thought of being rude entered his mind and he immediately turned to Kaitlyn and bowed. “My apologies. Wonderland is a wonderful place. There should be other places to visit that will not cast a shadow over our conversation.”
He thought for a moment before nodding once to himself to confirm his train of thought then a second time to confirm the places he had chosen. “If you would like, we can just continue along the road. Roads lead you to a variety of places, even if you do not have a clue as to where you are going.”
“As to your question, I am indeed curious as to where you think I have been. Do you mean in the palace or London, which is where you are from if I remember correctly,” he commented as he began walking forward, sparing a glance behind him to make sure she was still there.

And upon hearing Hatter’s apology, the lady scratched her head in surprise and confusion unsure of what to say next. Was that being rude? She didn’t think so. “Please, don’t apologize. Um, we should just let go of the topic then. And if something, I think it’s me who was being rude, asking questions and such.” she stammered, pressing her lips into a thin smile.
Wait, who’s Absolem? Kaitlyn ignored the question at the moment. One question at a time. “Sure, that’ll do.” she answered, completely fine with the suggestion. Besides, exploring would do her good. Maybe she won’t get lost this time, having someone from the place beside her.
“Yes, you remembered it right. I am from London. And I’m asking if you’ve been to London.” she clarified, following him.
